Julie & Matt Swenson live in the same rural community in northwestern Wisconsin that they grew up in. They have always had a love for the outdoors and metal which lead to the idea for the name METALgarden. They use a 4x8’ CNC plasma table to cut out the items.

They graduated from UW-Stout with Julie’s education focused on art and graphic design while Matt’s focused on technology education. They find that their skills complement each other. Julie has been preparing the design files, cutting the pieces as well as finishing them. Matt typically focuses on the technical aspects including the equipment and is a great researcher for process improvements.
